Chief 070 Wifi Phone 無線網路電話小開箱

是方電訊 Chief 070 網路電話服務開台至今已邁入第二年,在過去的一年,Chief 070 客戶在 CPE (終端設備)使用上一直是選擇性並不多。對企業用戶而言,當然大多使用 IP-PBX 或 VoIP G/W 來介接,而個人用戶族群則只有1 port G/W 或是 Soft Phone 的選擇,但是慣用無線電話的家庭用戶或企業內有移動需求的族群來說,上述兩種界面似乎還無法滿足使用需求,這類族群需要的就是一支方便移動、免開電腦的無線網路電話 - Wifi Phone。

話說國慶日前夕,PM 部門美少女米小姐突然傳MSN過來:"貨到了",原來是向廠商訂的 Wifi Phone 新品已經到貨,PM 部門希望找人可以寫一篇開箱文,所以想到了全世界唯一幫 Chief 070 寫過開箱文的人再續前緣,原來那個人就是我啦。

故事講完,經過幾天的等待,終於拿到測試機。拿到的第一件事當然是迫不及待想一探究竟,這只素面環保紙盒裝著什麼神祕武器?

簡單三步驟 Chief 070 立即通

Step 1. : 設定WiFi 網路環境
這裡必須根據家裡或使用的無線網路環境來設定,通常我都是先使用搜尋功能來偵測目前有哪些無線基地台可供連線使用,再來確認其他設定,例如:SSID、安全設定等資訊,本機所支援的安全設定類型包括:WEP 64/128、WPA-PSK、WPA2-PSK及802.1X,足以適用於多種網路環境。

Step 2. : 設定070門號及認證密碼
再來就是輸入Chief 070提供給用戶的帳號及密碼,通過網路認證後才能開始撥打服務。本機最令人激賞的是可支援兩組網路電話設定,porfile1 預設當然是連接 Chief 070門號,profile2 則可提供使用者可註冊到企業內部的 IP-PBX 當成無線分機使用,實現一機雙號的功能。

Step 3. : 開始使用!!
撥打方式如同手機撥號,撥打手機時,請直撥手機門號;撥打市話或長途,請務必加上區碼再撥出;撥打國際電話時,則須撥002+國碼+電話號碼。

優點:
1.待機時間超長,經過實際測試這支手機的待機時間可達到3~4天,早已顛覆我們過去對 Wifi Phone 普遍待機不長的刻板印象,這一點對大多數的使用者是很重要的考量因素。
2.使用 BL-5C 通用手機電池及mini USB 充電界面,適合到處走透透的商務人士,不必擔心找不到地方充電。
3.支援各種無線網路安全加密協定:WEP 64/128、WPA-PSK、WPA2-PSK及802.1X,免除有網卻連不上的窘境。
4.提供第二組 SIP profile 設定,也就是除了Chief 070外,使用者可以把自己常用 SIP 服務商或公司 IP-PBX 所提供的帳號/密碼設定進來,達成一機雙號的目的。

缺點:
我個人認為唯一的缺點大概就是塑膠感重了點,畢竟這不是一支定位為市場頂端的智慧型手機,而是一支實用的網路電話。

使用心得
基本上 Chief 070 Wifi Phone 就是一支稱職的 Wifi Phone,沒有複雜的功能(沒有照相功能,也不能播放MP3),也沒有華麗的操作界面(沒有觸控螢幕),但就一支家用無線電話的觀點,重量輕巧、待機時間也夠長、便利的可攜功能及穩定、清晰的通話品質,它絕對符合您的需求。就網路電話而言,使用標準mini USB界面充電,免開電腦、無須費時安裝驅動程式及調整電腦音效裝置,即可撥打及接聽,這一支 Wifi Phone 真是適合陪伴您凸歸台灣凸全世界。

世界杯 Wireless-N Gigabit Router 四強效能 PK 賽

暌違四年的世界杯足球賽在南非熱鬧開踢,相信足球迷應該都沒錯過每一場精彩賽事,咱們網路界高階 Router 當然也要來湊一咖,小弟厚著臉皮向廠商借來四台 Wireless-N Gigabit Router ,也想來個效能大PK,所以本文標題就簡稱為世界杯四借杯 Wireless-N Gigabit Router 四強效能 PK 賽,如果您是被標題給騙進來的,小弟先跟您說一聲 sorry tongue

這一次我們借到四台在本地市場上能見度較高的機型(當然也可以說小弟只能借得到的機型),依廠牌字母排序分別是ASUS RT-N16、Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH、DrayTek Vigor 2130 及 TP-Link TL-WR1043ND,其中DrayTek Vigor 2130 只借到有線版本,如果廠商看到這一篇願意補借DrayTek Vigor 2130n測試,我們很樂意將 WLAN 部份測試數據補齊。

結論:
從上面的長條圖來看,似乎證明了較高價位的網路設備往往也能得較好的效能,例如:售價最高的 DrayTek Vigor2130 在 LAN to LAN 及 LAN to WAN 兩項數據取得領先,價格居次的 ASUS RT-N16 則在 WAN to LAN 項目裡拔得頭籌,而採用相同處理晶片的 Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH 及 TP-Link TL-WR1043ND,兩者在價格及效能表現上都在伯仲之間,所以本屆(借)的效能之王非 DrayTek Vigor2130 莫屬。若以C/P值來看,考量到網友荷包,售價最便宜實惠的 TP-Link TL-WR1043ND 應該算是最能讓網友無痛升級 Wireless-N Gigabit Router 的機種。另外,Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH 定價NT$2,890元卻能擁有 32MB Flash/64MB RAM 的強悍規格,應該也拉攏了不少選票。若考量到改機的需求,深受各家韌體所支持的當然還是首推 ASUS RT-N16,目前除了官方韌體外,還有三大韌體社群強力在支持維護,也是改機論壇裡常被討論的焦點。

ASUS RT-N16 四大韌體效能PK

自 ASUS RT-N16 推出以來,採用 Broadcom 旗下 BCM 4718 晶片,這家晶片在過去被許多第三方韌體組織廣泛支援,加上原廠韌體穩定性一直保有很大的改善空間,使得向來潛藏的第三方韌體更加活絡起來。所以當 ASUS RT-N16 推出不到半年,市場上已經出現三套能直接支援 ASUS RT-N16 的第三方韌體。


而各家韌體皆有其專精獨到之處,例如 DD-WRT 內建支援多國語言,強調友善的管理介面。Tomato(teddy bear mod) 著重在 USB 介面及 QoS 的支援,在台灣很多死忠粉絲。LLY 則延續了老牌 Oleg 韌體的香火,提供網友一個簡單而直覺的改機環境。一般網友大多只能根據網路上討論來決定是否該刷韌體或該刷哪一家韌體,本文不詳細評論各家優劣,我們只針對網路傳輸效能部分做測試,希望此舉也能印證在同樣的硬體下,搭配不同的韌體對效能的影響程度,提供網友日後改機參考。

下圖是將各項測試數據整理後,所產生的圖表,我們可以很明確看得出來 ASUS 原廠韌體的 NAT 效能像是擁有獨家祕技似的,大幅領先其他家韌體,不過在 WLAN 部分的效能卻只能稱作笑能,把 N 當 G 用,明顯落後其他韌體。其他第三方韌體 LLY、DD-WRT 及 Tomato 或許少了 Broadcom 直接傳授的獨家密技,各項數據表現都在伯仲之間,相較之下,LLY 韌體各項效能表現穩定領先,以綜合各項效能的評估是較值得推薦的韌體。

行動無線分享精靈 ZALiP CDM530AM 開箱報告

這幾年無線行動上網需求日漸成長,市場上開始出現許多行動上網工具,這些工具的出現也創造不少行動商務/休閒的便利性。今年清明三天連續假期,應友人之邀到南投露營,考慮到這三天假期還是有必要上網關注論壇的運作,所以回來後便開始留意這一類的產品,其中最讓我感到有興趣的就是 ZALiP 出品的 CDM530AM WiFi Mobile Gateway。

ZALiP CDM530AM 是一款造型迷你、方便攜帶的無線路由器,支援無線區網 802.11n 標準及 HSPA 無線上網,而且出廠時即搭配一顆容量為 1700mAh 鋰電池,方便出差或出遊時可免插電源即可滿足行動連線上網的需求。

好奇心驅使我將 CDM530AM 拆開來研究一番..(以下心臟不夠大顆請自行跳過,以免拆壞了原廠不保固)

原來主要核心處理器是採用雷凌(Ralink)的RT3050F,而MX29LV320D 是一顆4MB的Flash Memory 以及一顆 EM63A165TS-6G的32MB RAM,架構上和 D-Link DIR-300 B1(少USB)及 ASUS RT-N13U(CPU是RT3052F)相類似,或許有機會可以改機

優點:
1.迷你輕巧的機體,方便攜帶。
2.功能完整,不因體積輕巧而犧牲部份功能,尤其是網路安全管理,可滿足行動商務人士使用。
3.CDM530AM 所支援的3G網卡數量約300支,而且還在持續增加當中,支援幅度之廣,令人刮目相看。
4.待機時間長及可更換電池設計,可待機5小時/連續連線使用達3小時。若有更長時間連線需求,可再加購第二顆電池接力使用。

缺點:
1.USB界面位置,若能將USB界面設計於機體後側,當外出於狹小空間使用時,比較不佔桌面空間。
2.廠牌知名度較弱,ZALiP 是永洋科技主打的自有品牌,在台灣網通市場的能見度還在逐漸提升當中。

總結:
經過兩個禮拜的相處,CDM530AM 各方面表現總是有讓人有眼睛為之一亮的驚喜,迷你輕巧的體積卻擁有完整的無線路由器管理功能,加上可支援近300支USB 3G無線網卡,所謂麻雀雖小五臟俱全來形容一點都不為過。此外,因具備 USB 界面之便,據了解原廠已計畫針對 WiMax 無線網卡提供支援,使用者面對未來無線網路擴充彈性將可高枕無憂。
